Carpet Pieces.....What Fun!!!

You know how your carpet "sheds" little pieces of carpet. Well one of those pieces of carpet entertained Roman forever today. It was pretty funny---he would touch it and it would move it under his leg and he would get frustrated because he couldn't see it. Very funny. Seriously if I hadn't had to make lunch he probably would have played with it for much longer. unfortunately all things end up in the mouth. That wouldn't be good...so the fun with the small carpet piece had to come to an end.

Growing Up....Too Fast

All you moms out there know exactly how I feel. Roman is growing way too fast. i find myself waiting in anticipation for the next big thing, but when it happens I feel like crying. I think not yet....its too fast. I was looking at pictures from the day his was born. He was so very tiny. I honestly have forgotten what that was like having such a little baby. Tonite he decided to get on all fours and try to start crawling. Although he didn't actually take off before going back to his stomach and worming around he's very close to be totally mobile. Then after that John Mark was on the couch and Roman turned around and pulled up on the couch. Like it was no big deal. What the heck....two things in one night. Whats he trying to do.....rip my stinkin heart out. I'm Kidding...sorta. He is so sweet, but dear me not two big ones in one night. I know its cliche but he really has grown so fast. I say that , but I find myself almost rushing to get to the next big thing . So what I'm trying to say is that today I was reminded to enjoy every moment and savor it. He will be doing the next big thing soon enough and when he does I'll think thats too fast. Oh another thing is he found hos toes. He loves to put his toes in his mouth it is super cute!!!! The Great Outdoors

Roman loves loves loves being outside. When he's excited he does this shake --those who've seem it know what I'm talking about. If you haven't seen it your probably wondering what I'm talking about. unfortunately I'm not the most descriptive person so it's hard to describe but it is super cute.The entire time we were out there he kept doing that shake. He was super fun. I'll try to get it on video someday. Here are some pictures from our day outside (60 degrees in February, weird).

Roman's baby dedication

Sunday was a great day!!! Thank you to everyone who was able to participate and take part in both the service and lunch afterwards. Dedicating Roman was a very big deal to John Mark and I, but we were deeply blessed with how much it meant to our friends and family. We feel so greatly blessed to have been given Roman, and we are in awe of the responsibility we have to raise him to be a man of God. A man who has a close personal relationship with the Lord. Dedicating him to the Lord was our public declaration of our hearts desire to raise Roman to follow the leading of the Lord in his life as well as to support him in whatever the Lord calls him to do. I know the Lord has some great plans for this sweet little man. It was very special time. Thank you Nancy for taking such great pics for us. Here are some pictures from the day.
