Fun with Roman today

Fun Day Out.......Sorta

I was looking forward to this day all week. Family was coming up we were going to go to the large children consignment sale, eat lunch and shop. What fun!!! Unfortunately due to the threat of snow they decided not to come. Determined not to stay home---again for the 4th day in a row, I bundled Roman up and made it to the Rhea Lana sale. That's about it, Roman cried the whole time. I did get some great summer stuff, but I did it in about 15 minutes then we headed back home. Poor guy. I thought he was feeling better, but he's been asleep since we got home. When did going out, even if it is just one place, become such a treat? I wonder how having more children will impact my life. I want several more, and can't wait.Roman has been such a huge blessing. The best thing ever.

I just wonder because I feel like I run around like a crazy person most of the time. John Mark doesn't even recognize me when he gets home. I'm crabby and tired. I have stayed in a t-shirt and sweats all day. Don't get me wrong I love staying at home. I just hope that soon we will get a routine down. One where we go out and enjoy the day. One where I find fun things to do without spending lots or any money. One where when John Mark says , Hey lets go get pizza I don't run to put on my best outfit ( because its the first time I've really dressed all week).

I will say that being a stay at home mom is truly a gift. I know how blessed I am stay home. I just need to get into a routine. All of us who do stay home should get together. Even if it is just to walk the mall. It would be fun.

We had such a wonderful weekend and I'm just now posting about it. It was 65 degrees all weekend. We had friends over and BBQ'd ( John Mark and I love BBQing). It was wonderful. We are so ready for spring and summer. We have an outdoor baby. He had lots of fun--once he warmed up to the grass. Yes, he had a new found fear of grass. he would look at it and cry, but after awhile of John Mark playing with him on it he started to actually enjoy it. John Mark and DAn were playing catch in the yard and Roman was totally captivated. It was cute. I hope everyones week is going well. Tomorrow some family is coming up and I'm really excited to see them...just some girl time will be great.

Yucky Colds

Roman has his first cold. Everytime he coughs it frazzles me. I feel so bad for him. He doesn't seem to care. He's as smiley as ever. I'm not sure that it isn't allergies. He hasn't had any fever and I pray he doesn't get any. Point of this post......does anyone know good tricks to help him sleep better? That's the only time he seems to cough is when he is down flat. Suggestions would be great. Thanks

Carpet Pieces.....What Fun!!!

You know how your carpet "sheds" little pieces of carpet. Well one of those pieces of carpet entertained Roman forever today. It was pretty funny---he would touch it and it would move it under his leg and he would get frustrated because he couldn't see it. Very funny. Seriously if I hadn't had to make lunch he probably would have played with it for much longer. unfortunately all things end up in the mouth. That wouldn't be good...so the fun with the small carpet piece had to come to an end.

Growing Up....Too Fast

All you moms out there know exactly how I feel. Roman is growing way too fast. i find myself waiting in anticipation for the next big thing, but when it happens I feel like crying. I think not yet....its too fast. I was looking at pictures from the day his was born. He was so very tiny. I honestly have forgotten what that was like having such a little baby. Tonite he decided to get on all fours and try to start crawling. Although he didn't actually take off before going back to his stomach and worming around he's very close to be totally mobile. Then after that John Mark was on the couch and Roman turned around and pulled up on the couch. Like it was no big deal. What the heck....two things in one night. Whats he trying to do.....rip my stinkin heart out. I'm Kidding...sorta. He is so sweet, but dear me not two big ones in one night. I know its cliche but he really has grown so fast. I say that , but I find myself almost rushing to get to the next big thing . So what I'm trying to say is that today I was reminded to enjoy every moment and savor it. He will be doing the next big thing soon enough and when he does I'll think thats too fast. Oh another thing is he found hos toes. He loves to put his toes in his mouth it is super cute!!!! Here are some pics from yesterday.

The Great Outdoors

Roman loves loves loves being outside. When he's excited he does this shake --those who've seem it know what I'm talking about. If you haven't seen it your probably wondering what I'm talking about. unfortunately I'm not the most descriptive person so it's hard to describe but it is super cute. The entire time we were out there he kept doing that shake. He was super fun. I'll try to get it on video someday. Here are some pictures from our day outside (60 degrees in February, weird).

Roman's baby dedication

Sunday was a great day!!! Thank you to everyone who was able to participate and take part in both the service and lunch afterwards. Dedicating Roman was a very big deal to John Mark and I, but we were deeply blessed with how much it meant to our friends and family. We feel so greatly blessed to have been given Roman, and we are in awe of the responsibility we have to raise him to be a man of God. A man who has a close personal relationship with the Lord. Dedicating him to the Lord was our public declaration of our hearts desire to raise Roman to follow the leading of the Lord in his life as well as to support him in whatever the Lord calls him to do. I know the Lord has some great plans for this sweet little man. It was very special time. Thank you Nancy for taking such great pics for us. Here are some pictures from the day.

Roman Loves Pickles

If anyone has a dill pickle they are looking to get rid of Roman will take it ; )

For you mom....

LOVES KITCHEN UTENSILS

LOOK HOW GOOD HE SITS UP!!

My poor mom has been requesting new pics..new pics. Sorry for my absence. The little guy has little tolerance for blogging time during the day. It takes so long to upload pics on this computer, so I have to wait until he's asleep to blog, and as you know there are millions of other things that I need to do during nap time, so thats my excuse for no pics in the last couple of days.

We are doing very good. Most of you know but I have about 3 more weeks of work and then I will be a stay at home mom. I'm so excited. I have big plans....hopefully I follow through. It is such a blessing to be able to stay home. God has really blessed us and opened up doors to allow me to this. I'm so happy and very ready.

JM and I were just talking about how big Ro is getting. He's becoming very independent. It's excited and kinda sad, he's growing so fast. I get use to him doing something new and he's on to something else. He eats everything now. It took awhile for him to like baby food, but now we can't get it in his mouth fast enough. What a sweetie.

Well here are some pics to enjoy. You all have a good week

Beautiful Sunday

It was a beautiful day today--It was about 65 degrees all day long. We enjoyed church a lot today we're doing the whole chapter of Genesis, which started this morning. After church we came home and relaxed. Roman took a nap, John Mark played his video games, I straightened the house, and went for a nice walk. It was 65 degrees but extremely windy so I cut it short, but it was nice just to go out by myself and walk especially on such a pretty day.
We gave Ro his first bit of baby food. He's had cereal (not a big fan), but he's almost 6 months old so we decided to start him on sweet potatoes as his first veggie. Again he wasn't a fan. It kinda freaked me out because he gagged every time he tried to swallow. It was really thin, but not thin enough. Thank God for my mother-in-law (who I go to if I need assurance my child really is normal). She suggested that I thin it a little more. So we'll try again tomorrow.
After all that we spent the evening at my Boppa and Nana's (JM parents). We celebrated January birthdays. As always we had a lot of fun. It's such a blessing to have big families. It's totally chaotic, but we wouldn't trade it for anything. We always have fun. Nana has a swing for little kids in her backyard Roman had a lot of fun swinging in it. Now I want a swingset. Maybe for his 1st birthday. Here are some pics from today enjoy.

Happy New Year...now that its the 4th : )

Happy New Year. I was going to post all my resolutions, but it will have to wait because I have to get ready for work. I thought I better post some pics of the little man (he has some pretty impatient grandparents : ) ) Hope you are all having a great week.
