For you mom....

LOVES KITCHEN UTENSILS

LOOK HOW GOOD HE SITS UP!!

My poor mom has been requesting new pics..new pics. Sorry for my absence. The little guy has little tolerance for blogging time during the day. It takes so long to upload pics on this computer, so I have to wait until he's asleep to blog, and as you know there are millions of other things that I need to do during nap time, so thats my excuse for no pics in the last couple of days.

We are doing very good. Most of you know but I have about 3 more weeks of work and then I will be a stay at home mom. I'm so excited. I have big plans....hopefully I follow through. It is such a blessing to be able to stay home. God has really blessed us and opened up doors to allow me to this. I'm so happy and very ready.

JM and I were just talking about how big Ro is getting. He's becoming very independent. It's excited and kinda sad, he's growing so fast. I get use to him doing something new and he's on to something else. He eats everything now. It took awhile for him to like baby food, but now we can't get it in his mouth fast enough. What a sweetie.

Well here are some pics to enjoy. You all have a good week

Beautiful Sunday

It was a beautiful day today--It was about 65 degrees all day long. We enjoyed church a lot today we're doing the whole chapter of Genesis, which started this morning. After church we came home and relaxed. Roman took a nap, John Mark played his video games, I straightened the house, and went for a nice walk. It was 65 degrees but extremely windy so I cut it short, but it was nice just to go out by myself and walk especially on such a pretty day.
We gave Ro his first bit of baby food. He's had cereal (not a big fan), but he's almost 6 months old so we decided to start him on sweet potatoes as his first veggie. Again he wasn't a fan. It kinda freaked me out because he gagged every time he tried to swallow. It was really thin, but not thin enough. Thank God for my mother-in-law (who I go to if I need assurance my child really is normal). She suggested that I thin it a little more. So we'll try again tomorrow.
After all that we spent the evening at my Boppa and Nana's (JM parents). We celebrated January birthdays. As always we had a lot of fun. It's such a blessing to have big families. It's totally chaotic, but we wouldn't trade it for anything. We always have fun. Nana has a swing for little kids in her backyard Roman had a lot of fun swinging in it. Now I want a swingset. Maybe for his 1st birthday. Here are some pics from today enjoy.

Precious....That's What He Is

This boy is so stinkin sweet. He was playing with daddy so I was able to snap a few pics. I love all the slobber. The last picture is a bit blurry, but I wanted to capture his new little grin. It's not an open mouth smile just a little smile. I love it. Such a little man. I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF HIM.

Christmas Time

We had a great Christmas. It was a very fun and very new experience doing Christmas with a baby. He didn't get into it much. He did enjoy eating the wrapping paper ; ) We all made out like bandits and once again were blessed by our families generosity. Roman got some of the cutest PJ's and outfits as well as a lot of toys. We had fun getting them all out today, but I think we overstimulated the little dude. John Mark pretty much got everything he wanted/needed. He got lots of new dress shirts for work . He's going to look very nice. He also managed a DVD player and a video game. I got the perfumes I've been wanting, some super cute shirts, and a food processor for making Roman's baby food. It was a lot of fun. The most fun really is getting together with family. We enjoy just hanging out and visiting. Both sides of our family are very large so getting everybody together is a bit of a challenge, but we sure enjoy it when we do. It would be wonderful to see my mom, Gord and sisters on Christmas. Now that would totally complete our Christmastime. (Mom I've been trying to call you---Where have you been?). Here are some pictures of our Christmas. We ended up opening our presents from each other and doing our Christmas Christmas Eve. Not exactly the tradition we want to have, but really didn't know when else to do it. So these pics are from our Christmas at our house, John Mark's parents house, and my Poppy and JuJu's house. Enjoy!!!

Catching Up

Well it's been awhile... and a lot has happened in the short while its been. John Mark and I celebrated our two year anniversary. Dad and Mom came up and watched Roman and John Mark and I went out on the town. It was weird (not having Roman). We only lasted till about 3, but it was fun.

Roman is growing so fast. I can't believe that he is 5 1/2 months. He rolls over and is the grabbiest little dude. He grabs everything...so be careful. He's teething, therefore has been a little crankier---for those who know Roman he's never cranky so by a little crankier its still pretty mild.

We can't believe it is already Christmastime, but of course we our super excited. John mark and I are still like little kids especially John Mark. It's been the most fun getting Roman his Christmas presents. Unfortunately he won't remember his first Christmas, but we will. Good memories.

We hope you all have a great Christmas. Remember most of all the true gift that we were all given--- Jesus Christ. Enjoy family...I know we will. Merry Christmas

Here are some pics from our Christmas today.

Exersaucer Fun

So for Christmas Roman was going to get an exersaucer, but he got it early (of course). He loves it. I get so much done now. John Mark calls it the stimulation machine there is so much stuff on this thing. As you can tell he loves it. Right now he's making this loud shrilling noise as he sits in it and watches baby einstein. There is this little duck on the tv and he seems to be very fascinated with it. Well Now he's crying...better go

Family Pictures

Thank you Nancy for taking such great pics. aren't these pics of Roman super sweet.
I will post more, but Roman is getting mad so I have to go

Cereal Yum Yum....not really

I posted a video but it won't show up...thats where you see his horrible face. I can't now, but I will try again later

So let me update on the latest Roman news. We went to Dr. Payton (our pediatrician). Roman is still in the 95th percentile weighing in at 18 pounds and he's 27 inches long. He's really grown in length in the last little bit. He's absolutely wonderful--the light of our life. We've been waiting to start him on cereal- I don't really know why--just eager to start something new. So Dr. Payton said we could start him on rice cereal. I really thought he would like it a lot, but to my surprise he hated it. He made the worst face and spit it out over and over again. I do believe we can thank my dad for that. This Thanksgiving he ate mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cranberries, and whatever other juices were on my dads plate. Everytime my dad would take his finger out of his mouth Roman would break into a cry. So cute!!! Anyways, here are some picture from our cereal experience.
P.S We ended up putting it in a bottle ---He sucked it down. Rumor has it that this will help him sleep through the night---Hope so. The ones were he is asleep is after the bottle. Yippee
