Roman Updates

Roman was great through his first church service he just slept right through with not even a wimper. He is so sweet. I don't know if I've mentioned this before but he loves his hands. He always is playing with his hands or they are in his mouth. Yesterday I was nursing and we were struggling a bit to get it coordinated so instead of waiting on me to get situated he stuck his thumb in his mouth and went to town. It was so sweet. Here are some pics from our first Sunday and a few throughout the day. We are leaving for our Dr. Appt so I will post his weight when I get back --most babies lose weight the first week, but its hard to imagine that he has lost weigh we'll see.......

My baby changes so much every day. I can't believe it. Last night he only woke up twice which was very nice. He's so sweet. I'm excited because Britt and Jac are coming up it will very nice to have their company. well here are some pics from today.

The sweetest baby ever

Well are first night at home was great. He is eating so well which I was worried about, but he has it figured out. Here are a few new pics of the little guy. I have to say he has the sweetest demeanor of any baby I have ever seen. He never cries, loves to be held, and when he's hungry he makes a loud sucking noise. I love it. We'll keep updating pictures here.

EVERYONE MEET THE LOVE OF OUR LIFE--MR. ROMAN

He finally arrived Tuesday morning at 8:09. He weighed 6 lbs 12 oz and is 20 inches long. It was amazing. I was in labor what seemed like forever, but the epidural was wonderful and I was able to savor and enjoy all of it. He has the sweetest demeanor. So far the only times he's cried is when he's hungry, and diaper changes. We love us some Roman. I'm so amazed at how much I love him. Women always say that and I always thought that I understood what they mean, but it wasn't until Tuesday that I could ever comprehend how amazing it is to bring life into this world and to be given such an opportunity. We are so excited. Here are a few pics of our little sweetie.

Good News from Dr. Smith

Well I went to the doctor and I'm still the same so if Roman hasn't come by Thursday (my original due date) then she is going to induce me on Friday. Yeah......its so nice just to have a date -a for sure date. So the next week we will be busy getting everything ready. Please pray everything goes well.

Crazy Last 24 Hours

Well I had high hopes that Roman was going to debut last night or today, but no luck. I was up all night with contractions that were 7 minutes apart and today were 5 minutes apart, but after going to the Dr. we learned there was no change. Just the beginnings of labor which could last days, she actually said weeks, but I rebuke that. Please pray with us that he will come soon. I'm so ready. I know all pregnant women are at this point, but really please pray with us. Here are a few pics of his room. Brenda (Nanna) finished the tree. Isn't it great. I absolutely love it.

Happy Birthday Kara

Happy birthday to my sister-in-law Kara. I'm so blessed to have her in my life. She's been such an encouragement at so many times. She really has taught me a lot about prayer and trusting in the Lord to meet all our needs and to trust him in giving us our hearts largest desire. Kara, I hope you have a great day. Sorry I won't be able to see you----Hopefully soon though. Love ya bunches

BABY SHOWER AND PREGGO PICS (FOR MOM)

Here are some pictures of Roman's baby shower and a few pics of my pregnant belly for my momma to see. It was pretty difficult having pictures made this late in the pregnancy, but I know I will enjoy them later. We had so much fun at the shower and received so many cool gifts. Super cute.

New Roman Pics....

Here are some new pictures of Roman. The tech and my Dr. agree that he will come early. We're 37 weeks and this ultrasound projected that he weighs 6 lbs and 11 oz now. My favorite are his fat little cheeks. I can't wait to meet him face to face. Hopefully early.

It's been a long time....

Wow, its been a long time since I've updated. Things are going great here, a bit crazy but tons of fun. Roman is going to be here soon and I'm so ready. His room looks so good, my mother-in-law is an amazing artist and she's doing so good on the jungle painting on the wall. We had our first shower and we got all kinds of fun stuff. I'M SO READY !!!!! Well I say that, there is still so much to do. Hopefully we'll get it all finished. Work is going well for both of us, but we are both itching to transfer to other departments hopefully we'll be able to soon. Well I just wanted to say hi, and post some pics.

Roman Carter Laney

Well we had a 4-D ultrasound today. It wasn't as good as I hoped it would be because Mr. Roman is comfortable facing backwards. So we had to work hard to get good pics. The good news is because we had such a hard time getting pics we get to go back fo free. That's a good deal. maybe when he's a little bigger we will be able to get bigger pics of him. Anyways, Isn't he cute.

An Update.....Finally

I haven't blogged in forever. Everything here is going good. Most of you know this now, but Roman who turned to Avery is now for sure Roman again. Isn't that crazy? We've been having fun buying stuff for the room. His bedding id here---here's a pic.His room is a jungle theme. I love it. It's so much cuter in person. The nursery has a ways to go but its going to be so fun. My mother in law is an awesome artist and she's going to paint some stuff on the wall for us. I'll post pictures when it's all done. Besides work and baby stuff nothing else is really happening around here. Hope everthing is going well for ya'll
