First Owie

I think Roman may be trying to give me a nervouse breakdown. The other day he was reaching under the dresser to get a easter egg and when he came up his eyebrow caught the dresser and well you can see. It took me a minute to look at it close enough to see if we needed stitches or glue. It was pretty deep so we took him to the doctor and got him glued up. After the initial crying...he was over it. Me on the other hand am scared to so much as leave him for a second.

Photo Shoot with Bops Camera

My father in law let me borrow his really nice camera. I had a great time taking pictures of Roman and Meya. One of these days I tell you I'm going to take a photography class. I love taking me some pictures. I'm really having a hard time blogging lately I feel like I cant articulate anything thats going on into a blog. Weird I know. I have no words, but I will say I'm having a lot of fun!!! Roman is super busy and very entertaining. He's getting very close to walking. He stands up and moves around furniture. He's super busy. he plays peek-a-boo and patty cake. He loves eyelashes so watch out. It would appear he wants to touch your eye, but really he want to pull your eyelashes. He has several words he says....dada, dog, Boppa, and lots of jibberish. I love hearing him make his sounds. He's very exuberant about it. He lifts up his hands and talks and talks...very loudly. He has two bottom teeth and one on the way on the top. He eats everything...mostly whatever we are eating. He's learned baby food isn't that good. the other day JM tried to feed him peaches and oatmeal stuff. He kept turning his head and fussing. So I warmed up some leftover from Butch's BBQ and he ate an entire plate of beans and potato salad. Crazy I know. He's still in the 90th percentile on weight 24 pounds and the 70th in length 29 inches . We are really excited about the next few weeks and months. Summer is around the corner which means birthday time, and we leave in less than 2 weeks on our vacation to Florida.............yeah!!!!!!

Look its Midas!!!

She's Here

Proud Aunt and Uncle

The boys with their girl

Cambron--doesn't he look proud. When we left the hospital he had a big smile and said "I always wanted 12 brothers and sisters.

Holding Cambron's finger

....And Man is she Sweet. Miss Flowers decided to come a day early. She was born yesterday at around 8:30 pm. She weighs 7 pounds, and has round rosy cheeks. Kelley did terrific....loving her epidural. Man I love those things. I'm a huge advocate of them. Cambron is super excited and will probably be delirious today from his lack of sleep. He spent the night over here and we went to bed around 12, and I woke up at three and heard a ball hit the floor. I came into the living room and Cambron was playing. He looked at me and said, "Hey, why are your eyes so red." " "Um, maybe because its 3 in the morning." He's just too excited to go to sleep. He's asleep now and will be for awhile I'm sure. Here are some pictures of her pretty self and her adoring fans. They haven't nailed down a name yet, but I bet she has one when we get up there today.

Behind lately

I've fallen behind lately with the blogging thing. It's hard to find a second to sit down and write, undisturbed that is. We've had a busy last few weeks. First, my sweet husband is putting in a privacy fence in the back yard. In order to save money he decided to install it himself. I was concerned since he has never done this sorta of thing before, but it looks great. I mean really good. I told him he should do it on the weekends...he laughed. Secondly, we bought a mini van, and I love it. My aunt said. " you have arrived." I sorta felt that way as I drove home from Springfield in my new Nissan Quest. I felt giddy and then a little embarrassed--was I really this excited about a van. Yes I was. There is so much room Roman dropped his bottle and it just rolled away. It's so roomy, and comfortable. All of Ro's stuff fits in there and there's still so much room. John Mark reminded me that when we got pregnant we were having a discussion about cars and I enthusiastically said I will NEVER drive a mini van. What can I say things change as your hoisting a 30 pound car seat into an SUV....that and everything else. I'm going to take some pics of it today and I'll post them, because I know you are dying to see it : ) Thirdly, we are trying to sell our Jeep Grand Cherokee so if your interested comment and I'll send you more info. With those exceptions life has just been busy with life things, work, school, and Roman. Here are some pictures from last Sunday. My brother in law, Micah, just bought a new camera and the pictures it takes are well, incredible. One of these days I want to invest in a great camera. I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

My Grandma

These are my favorite pictures from Easter. My grandma is an amazing person. When asked who is my role model my answer would ber her. She is strong, gentle, the most loving person I know. She is giving without end. She has taught me (as well as the rest of my family)by example how to love in every circumstance without fail. She loves the Lord and he shines through her. She showed me the power of prayer. Her love for her family runs so deep. There is nothing she wouldn't do for any of us. It makes me sad when I realize that Roman doesn't get to see her very often. Having these pictures means so much to me.

Roman is not much on the cuddling. He is so busy. It was Sunday afternoon he was so tired, but refused to calm down enough to fall asleep. Grandma took him and rocked him in this chair--she was singing--it wasn't two minutes and Roman was sound asleep. She is so calming. I remember her rocking me, and I remember how safe I would feel in her arms. I love you grandma.

Easter Fun...Again

So I'm a little late on posting Easter pics. We went to Mena and had a wonderful time. My brother's sweet girlfriend, Whitney, took some wonderful pictures of Roman. Here are some pics from Easter.

Peek-A-Boo

We went to Mena last weekend for Easter. My cousin, "Aunt Britt", rode in the back seat with Roman. I heard her taking lots of pictures. They were playing peek-a-boo. Roman was having a great time, and the pictures she took were super cute. Thank you Britt for being such a great cousin, awesome friend, and for loving Ro so much. Check out my sweet baby.

Easter....Early

This weekend we celebrated Easter early with the Laney side because we will be out of town on Easter. It was a nice day. Roman didn't get into finding eggs so we would prop him in front of a tree with eggs around it and try to get a picture. proof of his first Easter. He has a super cute Easter outfit, but due to the colder weather he didn't get to wear it. Hopefully next Sunday. Anyways, my mother in law, Brenda, does a really cool thing for the little kids. She hides a present for them. So as well as looking for eggs they know there is a present in the yard. Roman got a gift with several different things in it, but one of the things is a little baseball game. Not sure how to describe it, but when you hit the ball it makes a lot of noise, and cheering. He loves it. He's played with it a lot in the last two days. Here are some pictures of our day.
