Thankgiving Number 4

As a mom I feel like I play with Roman a lot, but I feel like most of my time is spent doing things for the home for example, cleaning, ironing, laundry cooking and etc. There is nothing I enjoy more than just hanging out with Roman, but a lot of the time its not necessarily in the form of play. So I'm very grateful for John Mark for many reasons, but for this post I'm focusing on his passion for play. When he gets home thats the first thing he and Roman do is th.ey play. It's so fun to watch and Roman gets so excited. It's very sweet. Yesterday they were yelling back and forth and Roman was having a GREAT time--they both were. Here are some pics

Thanksgiving Number 3

Well I fell WAYYYYY behind--thats ok I'll play some catch up now and some later.

Tuesday is our bible study night and I was reminded of how grateful I am for my group. We had some new ladies start coming and I've really enjoyed getting to know them. It's a mix of ages and gender there are some of us married and some single. We've learned a lot. It's so easy to get caught up in the world and to put your heart and mind where it tells you it should go. Its so refreshing to spend the evening with a group of people, who like me, desire to know God better and have his Spirit leading me. So Thank you Lord for blessing me with such a great group of men and women to encourage me to focus on you and to always keep you first in my life.

I meant to take a picture last night, but we forgot. next week....

Thanksgiving Number 2

FALL--I love this season. I love the way it smells and the excitement in the air with holidays getting close. It an exhilarating time of year. I think I would love fall no matter where I lived, but being in the South and the heat of the summer makes this time of the year so refreshing. My mother in law is an artist a very very very good artist (Go here to view some of her pieces) and a great photographer. I stole this picture off her camera. Isn't it beautiful. This is a cemetery just down the road from our house. It's great driving past it in the fall. The colors of these trees are beautiful. So thank you Lord for the fall and your creativity coming alive in the trees and the intoxicating crisp smell of cool air moving in. You are an awesome and creative God.

Thanksgiving Number 1

John Mark's great sense of money. He is really good with it. I'm not. I tend to be very worried about money and to hoard money. John Mark is very good at finances, and very good at giving. We started taking a challenging, but rewarding, financial class that our church provides us with. It has been a huge blessing for me, but it has also opened my eyes at how blessed I am to have such a great provider for my family, but also that he knows how to best utilize the money he makes. So thank you God for my hardworking husband and for giving him wisdom how to best allocate and spend our money and for giving him the heart of a cheerful giver.

Thanksgiving

My mom started writing thanksgivings on her blog. I think that is a terrific idea so from today til thanksgiving I'm going to write thanks. its becoming more real to me that the more we see the things in our life that are good-- the bad seems a lot smaller and much more insignificant. So stay tuned...and I challenge you to do the same. Everyday, whether you write it on yor blog or not, write down something that you are thankful for. It's good medicine ; )

Forever Faithful

This has been one roller coaster of a week. So much in fact you will probably read the next few statements and think..."I had no idea".

We found out early last week that we were going to have a baby. We, of course, were very excited. I started going in for blood draws so they could monitor my hormone levels. I found at yesterday that I was miscarrying.

I have so many questions especially with having miscarried before. But the main point of this post is to praise the Lord for his faithfulness. He's made strong in our weakness, and I think when we choose to lean into Him when we are struggling the most--we grow closer to Him. Yesterday morning I was praying that I would have peace in my heart and I do. I cried a lot yesterday and at one point I was sitting on the couch with my head buried in my hands weeping and Roman came and touched my face and said "da da". What a blessing to look up and see him smile. When I looked into his smiling face I heard God speak to the bottom of my soul and say that he is in control and that my life and the life of my family, born and unborn, is in His hands.

Thank you God for using the most precious gift that you have given John Mark and I to remind me of who you, that you are in control, and you are forever faithful.

Our little Pirate

Well we had a fantastic harvest party this last weekend. It was a lot offun and great to catch up with people we haven't seen in awhile. The kids had a lot of fun playing in the backyard, and really enjoyed the hayride. I thought I would post a few pictures of Roman in his pirate costume. My camera died right before the party started so more pictures to come when I get them from other people, but for now here's my little pirate.
